Lawrence "Larry" Hubert Ferris, age 90, of Forsyth, MO,. was reunited with his loved ones in Heaven on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
He was born in Hanson, Massachusetts on Friday, June 29, 1934 to Edward and Rose (Cohen) Ferris. Larry served his beloved country as a Marine during the Korean War where he maintained photographic equipment and developed the film brought back after aerial reconnaissance missions. On February 7, 1959, Larry and Patricia "Pattie" Pierce were united in marriage. They were blessed with four children, Wendy, Gary, Glenn and Shaun. Larry made his living as a machinist. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, playing banjo, and beating his loved ones playing cards.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Beverly, Gloria, Janice, and Barbara; brothers, George and Bruce and his wife, Pattie.
Survivors include his four children and their spouses, Wendy and Brian Wadsworth (Kempner, TX), Gary and Pamela Ferris (Ozark, MO), Glenn and Wendy Ferris (Phoenix, AZ), and Shaun Ferris (Keyport, NJ); six grandchildren, Jeremy Wadsworth, Benjamin Wadsworth, Sarah Iturria, Savannah Wadsworth, Eric Ferris and Chance Wadsworth; As well as two great-grandchildren, Coraline and Ezra.
A graveside service with full military honors will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 21, 2025 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery; 5201 S. Southwood Rd. Springfield, MO 65804.
