It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Larry Lance Griffis, age 83, of Ozark, Missouri, who passed away on March 24, 2025. Larry was born on May 10, 1941, in Springfield, Missouri, to Cleo and Faye Griffis.

Larry was a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend. He was a star athlete in his youth, lettering in football, basketball, and baseball, excelling in each sport with his talent, dedication, and passion. His love for sports continued throughout his life, and he remained an avid supporter of athletics, sharing his enthusiasm and wisdom with those around him. Larry graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1965, where he laid the foundation for his future success and lifelong connections.

Larry worked at McBee Notebook Binder from 1972 to 1993, where he rose to the position of Vice President, demonstrating his leadership and dedication in the business world. After leaving McBee, Larry became a developer and eventually pursued his passion for woodworking, owning and operating his own woodworking business. His entrepreneurial spirit and hard work were evident in all that he did.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Nita Griffis; his son, Brian Griffis and his wife, Lora; his granddaughter, Aubrey Griffis; his sister, Jan Ewing; and his niece, Kelly Robison.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Faye Griffis.

A visitation service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel at Eastlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Klinger-Cope Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Larry's life.

Larry's spirit will live on through the love and memories he leaves behind. Though he is no longer with us, he will forever remain in our hearts.

Rest in peace, Larry. You will always be loved and never forgotten.
