Kenneth Leroy Goodman, 74, of Springfield, MO passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. He was born on Wednesday, August 2, 1950 in Springfield, MO to Margaret May Versaw and Herbert Guy Goodman Jr.

Kenny and Carolyn Sue McCleary were united in marriage on February 25, 1972 and to this union three children were born. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War, earning multiple decorations, medals and commendations. Most notably an Army Commendation Medal and a Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Star. Kenny was an avid hunter and fisherman, but what he loved most of all was to spoil his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kenny is survived by his wife, three children Mike Goodman (wife Julie), Greg Goodman (wife Colleen Powell-Dawson) and Tiffany Brandon, one brother Johnny Goodman and ten grandchildren Kaden, Jaymee, Jalen, Kolten, Brooklyn, Payton, Enzo, Talitha, Nick and Mary.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield, MO 65804. Full military honors will be conducted at 10 AM on Friday, July 11, 2025 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Honor Flight of the Ozarks, P.O. Box 3964, Springfield, MO 65808-3964.
