Katherine Ann Murray, 80, passed away at 9:21 AM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Jacob's Ladder in Springfield, MO. She was born on July 1, 1941 in Springfield, MO to Ruth Webb and E.T. Birdsong.

Kathy worked as a bookkeeper at Ed V. Williams and Hobby Lobby. She married the love of her life, Guy Cloud Murray, on September 22, 1974 in the Willard United Methodist Church in Willard, MO. After many years of farming Kathy and Guy moved to Springfield to enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, the Mizzou Tigers and loved spending time with friends and family. Sincere thanks go out to the entire staff at Jacob's Ladder and Integrity Hospice for their compassion and care shown to Kathy. As well as a special thank-you to her friends Tammy, Caroline and Linda for their love and support.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one brother Ray Birdsong.

Kathy is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Murray and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

In accordance with her wishes, her body will be cremated. She also expressed a desire to only have a graveside service, which will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, January 5, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
