Karen S. Cox, 64, of Springfield, MO, passed away peacefully with her loving family nearby. She was born January 24, 1954 in Tulsa, OK to Charles and Juanita (Blades) Caviness.

She married Mike Cox in 1973 and to this union they were blessed with two children, Shawn and Jessica. Karen was an employee of Springfield Public Schools nutritional services department for over 25 years. She enjoyed reading, sewing and quilting, watching movies, playing board games, card games and Bingo. But most of all she loved her family and time spent with her grandchildren.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 36 years, Mike, and an infant sibling.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Shawn and wife Andrea and Jessica and husband Damon, grandchildren; Julia and Brendan Cox and Noah and Grace Robinson, brother; Gary, sisters; Cathy, Vicki and Teresa and a number of nieces and nephews and countless friends. Karen will be greatly missed by all whose lives had been touched by her.
