June (LeGere) Rue, was the 2nd oldest child of 6 children of Andrew Clint and Louise Elizbeth (Walters) LeGere. June was born on June 30th, 1944 into the family in Hillsdale, KS. She departed this life July 2nd, 2020 at the age 76 years and 2 days; at Brookhaven Nursing Home in Springfield, MO. She was surrounded by family at her passing.

In Jan. 1974, June married Lester Rue in Springfield, MO.  This union was blessed with two children, Jennifer Lessley and Andy Lester. June was a homemaker, enjoyed her family, sewing quilts, cooking, watching Days of Our Lives and going to church. June became a Christian as a young person and was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Seymour, MO. Her favorite Bible passage was that of Psalm 23.

June was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two sisters Josephine Stark and Jessie LeGere.

She is survived by her daughter Jennifer and husband, Tim Young of Licking, MO;  son Andy Lester of Marshfield, MO;  grandson Cody Graves and spouse Lex of Licking, MO;  two granddaughters, Alysha and Daniella Young of Licking, MO;  one great grandson Samuel Bradley Graves of Licking, MO;   three sisters, Helen Tuner of Bolivar, MO;  Janice and Jay Deckard of Fair Grove, MO;  Judy Woods of Fairgrove, MO;  two brothers, Clint LeGere of Springfield, MO, and Robert LeGere of Fair Grove, MO;  and a host of nieces, family, and friends who will miss her dearly.

June will be laid to rest next to her husband, Lester, on July 9th 2020 at 2:00 pm at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 5234 W. State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO 65802 with graveside services officiated by Chaplain Curly Rawlings of Ava, MO (close friend and co-worker of Jennifer and Tim).
