June Ownby 85, of Springfield, MO passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021.She was born on May 23, 1935 in Ozark County, MO to Alfred and Maggie (White) Gaddy.

June started her career as a bookkeeper eventually working for Mercy.

She also earned her certification as a certified Pharmacy Technician and started a mentoring program for students wanting to become a Pharmacy Technician. June was a member of First Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. She had a passion for gardening vegetables and flowers and made the best ever Strawberry Jam. She also enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her loving family.

Preceding her in death is her parents; husband Bill Ownby; daughter, Paula "Annie" Belden; brother, Joe Gaddy and step son, Mike Ownby.

Survivors include her three children, Debra Robinson (Steve), Bill Ownby (Kay) and Dale Ownby (Melody); seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and family members, Robin Wallace, Billy Wayne Ownby, Calvin Ownby, Marie Main and a host of  other family and friends.

Flowers are welcome,but if anyone would like to donate she loved to donate to Samaritan's Purse and Habitat for Humanity

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel (5234 W. State Hwy EE) with a visitation held an hour prior from 1:00-2:00 pm. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
