Obituary

Julia Ann (Coon) Hoover, 91 of Walton, Indiana, formerly of Nixa, Missouri was born on January 29, 1925 in Wabash, Indiana. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 16, 2016.

Trained as a Registered Nurse under the Army Corp of Nursing during WWII, she went on to a 50 year nursing career serving others. She married her sailor, MM1C George T. Hoover November 18, 1945. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1998.

She was the daughter of Howard and Mary (Moore) Coon, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were brothers Howard Coon, George S. Coon, John Coon; Sisters Ethel (Coon) Amber, Mary (Coon) Hoover, Effie (Coon) Meyer, Mildred (Coon) Shook, Virginia (Coon) Love, her grandson Jeffery D. Pine and granddaughter Susan M. Nelson.

Surviving are her children Virginia Louise (Hoover) Nelson (James), Alan David Hoover (Lauri), Debra Sue (Hoover) Pine (David), and Carol Beth (Hoover) Burton (Richard). Also surviving are her grandchildren Eric Nelson, Stephen Nelson, Brian Hoover, Garrett Hoover, Michael Hoover, David Hoover, Christiana (Hoover) Schaefer, Jason Pine, John Pine, Joshua Pine, Shawn (Munson) Saylor, Christopher Burkhardt, Melissa (Burkhardt) Blevins, Julia (Burkhardt) Furnish, a host of great-grandchildren, her sister , Betty Weesner, many nephews, nieces, and friends.

She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was greatly loved by all and will be greatly missed by all.
