Juanita Faye Burr, age 89, of Strafford passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022. She was born August 17, 1932 in Springfield to Carl A. and Ima (Asbury) Rogers. She was united in marriage to Lloyd E. Burr January 12, 1956 who passed away in 1958. Juanita never married after his death.

Juanita grew up in Springfield. She lived north of the railroad tracks and would cross the foot bridge over the tracks to go watch movies in the theatres on Commercial Street. Many times she would stand on the footbridge and watch the trains pass under the bridge. Juanita worked in various places as a cashier. She worked for the Union 76 Truck Stop, in the gift shop, in Strafford for 21 years. She worked as a cashier at the Apple Market after retiring from Union 76. Juanita could be a "firecracker" at times. She had an outgoing personality and enjoyed being around people.

Juanita is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd E. Burr; her parents; and two brothers Jack Farmer and Bert Farmer.

Juanita is survived by her sons David Burr and his wife Levita and Mark Burr and his wife Brenda; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday January 26, 2022 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, Springfield. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 27, 2022 in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Springfield National Cemetery.
