Juanita Mae Caviness, 87, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Brookhaven Health Care with family by
her side. She was born on Monday, February 10, 1930 in Tulsa, OK to Maudie Edmonson and Darius Blades.
On January 12, 1951 Juanita and Charles W. Caviness were united in marriage and to this union five children
were born. She loved reading, crochet and needle work. Juanita also enjoyed traveling with her husband
after she retired from St. John''s Hospital as a phone operator in 1990.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother Joe Blades and an infant daughter.
Juanita is survived by her five children, Karen Cox of Springfield, MO, Gary Caviness (wife Shawn) of Over- land Park, KS, Cathy Caviness of Springfield, MO, Vicki Rorie (husband Rick) of Republic, MO and Teresa Caviness of Springfield, MO, nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 1-2pm at the KlingnerCope Family Funeral Home, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield, MO 65804, with funeral services to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 504 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
