Joyce Gaye (Williams) Moore was born August 11, 1938, in Douglas County, Missouri, to Leroy and Annie Williams. She went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on February 19, 2015. Joyce spent the majority of her life in Springfield, Missouri. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of ten and was baptized at High Street Baptist Church. She was a longtime member of Golden Avenue Baptist Church before joining and attending First Baptist Church, Springfield in 1991.
Joyce is survived by her four children: Darrell (Blye) Moore, Saundra (Randy) Williams, Neva (Brian) Vandersaaf, and Gregory Moore. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister and two brothers. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, three brothers and a grandson.
Funeral services will be on Monday, February 23, 2015, at 2:00 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Highway EE, Springfield, Missouri, with a visitation from 1:00 till 2:00 prior to service. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
Her children rejoice that Joyce is now living the promise of John 14:1-3.
