Joyce Ann Shank, 81, of Springfield, MO entered the glorious presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and her husband William on Thursday, September 12, 2024.  She was born on Saturday, January 2, 1943 in Springfield, MO to Gladys V (Lemons) Wright and George William Wright.

Joyce married William David Shank at the Webster Park Baptist Church in Springfield, MO on June 30, 1961 and to this union two sons were born. A longtime member of Second Baptist Church, she spent the majority of her life as a homemaker, raising their two boys.  A caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister Dorthea Anderson.

She is survived by her two sons Greg Shank (wife Sherry) of Nixa, MO and Shannon Shank (Fiancé  Tammy) of Springfield, MO, one brother George Wright of Springfield, MO, one sister Janice Wheat of Springfield, MO, five grandchildren Shyla, Brittain Mcloud (husband Matthew), Mason, Camden and Brendan, two great-grandchildren Laiken and Rayleigh Mcloud, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 1-2 PM at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO 65804 with funeral services to follow at 2 PM. Memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
