Joseph Raymond Taylor was born June 29, 1939 in Kansas City, KS to Charles E. and Elizabeth L. (Decker) Taylor. In 1953 the family moved to California. Joe graduated from Canoga Park High School, Woodland Hills CA. in 1958. Immediately after graduation he joined the United States Army where he served time oversees in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1965. Joe retired from Greyhound Lines in 2001 after working for 34 years, earning numerous achievements for his safe driving and miles traveled. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Laura M. Funderburk. He is survived by his daughter Laura Deatherage and her husband Eric, his significant other Lou Taylor, and his step-daughter Marsha Staples and husband Randy and grandchildren.
