Jonas Earl Dodson, 49, of Ozark, MO was reunited with his Savior on Sunday, August 4, 2024 after a long battle with brain cancer. He passed away in the presence of his wife and family by his side. Jonas was born in Fort Hood, TX on Sunday, May 11, 1975 to Joann Robinson and Kelcy Dodson.

Jonas will always be remembered by his crooked smile, infectious laugh, and how he could lighten the moment or situation. In high school Jonas was a member of the Honor Society and graduated at the top of his class. He went on to further his education where he received his Bachelor's degree from Missouri State University and his Master's degree from Webster University. While in college he joined the brotherhood of Alpha Kappa Lambda where he met lifelong friends. After graduation Jonas worked for Olive Garden for over 15 years. He ended his career working for Reeds Spring school district as the director of the Food and Nutrition department. On May 12, 2001 he married the love of his life Robyn. They were happily married and devoted to each other for 23 years. Jonas always wanted to be a father and on November 5, 2011 his wish came true when his son Ben was born. Jonas devoted his life to his family. Jonas was also a devoted brother to his sister Kim and his twin sister Kellie. Jonas truly loved his entire family and loved to make people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Skipper, one nephew Tyler and many other loved ones.

Jonas is survived by his wife Robyn and son Ben of the home, his sister Kim of Clever, Mo, twin sister Kellie and husband Scott of Osceola, MO, Mother in law Linda Wasik of Springfield, MO, Brother in law Mark and husband Michael of Chicago, IL nieces Kelsey, Izzy, and Emily and husband Nick, nephews Nick, Reed, Conner, Charlie, and Mitchell and wife Kaylee and many great nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Following cremation, Celebration of Life services will be held from 9-12 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Springfield Lake Boathouse, 2312 Lake Springfield Park Rd., Springfield, MO 65804.
