John Merle Sunny was born in Beaver Falls, PA on July 21, 1946 to Julius and Ruth Sunny. He went home to be with Lord on June 16th, 2016.
John married the love of his life Barbara Sue Sunny 44 years ago.
John was a gentlemen and he loved the Lord. He taught Culinary Arts at Ozark Technical Community College and retired from there. He was a blessed teacher and Professional Chef. He loved his students and helping them achieve a fruitful future was John''s gift.
He was the best husband and caregiver. He took care of his wife for the last 3.5 years after she had her stroke. He never left her side; he loved her more than he loved himself.
He was a loving father and brother; he was an example of what a man should be. He was a good friend; he always had time to listen to what you had to say. He loved his Ozark First Free Will Baptist Church family.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Sue Sunny, brother Rev. Frank Sunny and wife Karen, sister; Sharon Sunny, Sister in-law, Joan (Richard Lucas ) Sunny , step-children; Donnie and Barbara McHaffie, Cindy and Noel Friend, and Bethany and James Eaton, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother; Baylor Sunny, brother and sister in-law; Donald Sunny and Kathy Sunny, and step-son Jay McHaffie. His Kindness, witty humor, beautiful smile, and love will be greatly missed. We love you and may you rest in peace.
