John George Muenks, age 83 of Springfield, MO passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 in Springfield, MO. He was born on Monday, September 23, 1940 in Jefferson City, MO to Clarence Carol and Nellie Catherine (Dunn) Muenks.

John married Linda Lou Keltner in 1960 and to this union, four children were born, Alan, Angela, Ron and Diana Muenks. Throughout his life, John worked for Hayes Vending Co., Atlas Security, manager for A&W restaurant and with the City of Springfield. During his spare time, he enjoyed hanging out with the guys at Ron's Racing Collectibles. According to his children, "he was the greatest Dad ever and gained his wings in Heaven." He was always there for his children and taught them to respect others, and to know the difference between right from wrong. John enjoyed fishing, racing, hunting, collecting racing memorabilia and eagles. He was the co-founder of Rods n Relics car club. He also enjoyed water sports, especially water skiing. He even formed his own ski team with his sister performing pyramid style stunts. He was a man of faith and was a member of the Temple Baptist Church.

John was preceded in death by his parents and one infant daughter Angela Sue Muenks.

He is survived by two sons Alan Muenks and Ron Muenks (wife Christine), one daughter Diana Muenks, one sister Mary Coble, one nephew Mark Coble, nine grandchildren Leslie, Ryan, Judd, Dalton, Clarissa Bundy (husband Kameron), Riley, Nick, Deidra and Alisha and six great-grandchildren.
