(John) Caleb Erven passed away September 24, 2013. He was born July 29, 1992 in Osage Beach, MO.

Caleb was a graduate of Central High School and had lived in the Springfield area most of his life. His friends and family were his greatest love in life. So much so, that many will say that they have lost their "best" friend with his passing. He loved his family so well that his smile will never fade and his voice will never dim in our hearts or memories.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jamie Orel Erven and his maternal grandfather, Alfred Wayne Henson.

He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Rebecca Erven and Mary Williams, a brother, Joshua Erven and wife Tanya, two step-brothers, Joey Gresham and Steven Scallion, a sister, Rachel Erven and spouse James Powell, a step-sister, Rebecca Hackmeister. He is also survived by three nephews, Cory, Jamie, Joshie Erven who were his greatest joys; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

It has been said that "you can determine a man''s wealth by the number of his friends" if this is true, then Caleb was among the wealthiest of us all. His main interest outside of friends and family was riding his motorcycle. He was proud of his bike and loved riding, He would be proud of how many of his friends have called, face-booked and messaged to show their love for him and their support for his family.

"Caleb, you are so loved. Our hearts are so broken. We miss you so much."

A visitation will be held Friday, September 27, 2013 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte Chapel, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, Mo from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery, Polk, MO.
