Billy "Joe" Russell of Springfield, MO was born to Alta Lee Hitchcock and Billy Joe Russell, Sr. on October 21, 1955 in Springfield, MO. He passed on August 30, 2021 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO.

Joe enjoyed NASCAR racing, stock car racing, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered by all who knew him as having a heart of gold.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Joe is survived by his daughter Jennifer Shook, her husband Joe, and grandchildren Elizabeth and Dominic White of Republic, MO; daughter Holly Russell of Aurora, MO; sisters Linda Russell-Snodgrass of Springfield, MO and Brenda Sperindo of Monett, MO; and numerous friends and family.
