Joann (Hardman) Smith, 73, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at home. She was united in marriage to Warren L. Smith August 3, 1956. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Elsie Hardman and only son, Lonnie Jay. Joann is survived by her husband, Warren L., of the home; three daughters, Lea Ann and Steve Otis, Kansas City, Terrie and Daniel Jung, St. Louis and Jackie and Greg Eubanks, Strafford; a sister, June Martin, Nixa; five grandchildren, Kody Brown, Lawrence, KS, Tucker and Katie Carroll, St. Louis, and Derek, Collin and Wyatt, all of Strafford; one great-granddaughter, Madelyn, St Louis. Joann was an avid crafter, quilt maker, collector of Barbie dolls and best friend to her daughters. Joann attended Pleasant Valley Church. Her family would like to thank her church; their family and friends; her loving sister; Kim, Jill and Franklin, all of Oxford Hospice; and Steve, Rob, and Elaine, all of Medical Consulting Group, for going above and beyond to support the family during the past several months.
