Joan P. Birkinbine, age 80, of Humansville passed away August 4, 2022. She was born in Boone, Iowa June 23, 1942 to Vernon Jacob and Etta Arlene (Mann) Doran. Joan was united in Marriage to Paul Matthew Birkinbine in June of 1960 in Ottumwa, Iowa.

Joan loved children and babies. She loved nature. Joan loved the Lord and was an avid singer.  Music was a delight to her as well as church. She was an amazing artist. Her drawings gave her joy. Her family was her biggest hobby. Joan loved to shop and collect cookbooks. She was and excellent cook and loved cooking. She had a vivid imagination. Friends and family loved to listen to her tell her stories.

Joan is preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul; a daughter Sherry Lee Birkinbine; a son Paul Birkinbine Jr.; a sister Verna Elaine Harmeister; and a brother Vern Jacob III.

Joan is survived by her sisters Darlene Boyd of Brookline, and Caryl Ann Doran of Chicago, IL; a brother Stephen Arthur Doran; Grandsons Jeremy Birkinbine of Iowa and Dakota Vert of Texas; granddaughter Sarah Birkinbine of Theodosia.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, August 15, 2022 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, Springfield. The funeral will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
