Jimylou Martha Darrow, 88, of Springfield Missouri passed away in her home, surrounded by family, on Friday, September 18, 2026. She was born on Friday, September 2, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to Julia Emiline Adams and James Martin Burns.

Jimylou was married to Timothy Darrow for 70 years. She and Tim lived in Kansas City for many years and raised their family there. Jimylou retired from Universal Underwriters in 2000 when they moved to Springfield, MO. For a brief time, she worked at Evergreen Church until 2016 and then retired again.

Jimylou was preceded in death by her parents, her eldest daughter Julieann, one sister JoAnna and one brother Jimmy.

She is survived by her husband, one son Timothy, two daughters Martha and Joanna, raised 4 grandchildren, Shanna, Kara, Stacy and Tricia, a total of 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, soon to be 24, and two great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the Crossing Church, 5105 N. Farm Rd. 169, Springfield, MO 65803 with funeral services to follow at 11 AM.
