Jimmie A. Bridges, 81, of Springfield, MO, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday November 5, 2019 with family and friends by his side. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed. He never met a stranger and he touched many lives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his step-daughter Tammy Gardner and sister Glenda Herring.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years. Lorie; a son; Kenneth Bridges of Phillipsburg, MO, two daughters; Kathy Porter and husband Michael of Cordova, Tennessee and Karesa Bridges of Riverdale, NY; two grandchildren; Josh Buckley and Crystal Morgan, four great grandchildren; Peyton Morgan, Luke Morgan, Olivia Morgan and Jordan Reed.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Tuesday November 12, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte (4500 S Lone Pine, Springfield, MO). A visitation will be from 10-11 am, just prior to the service. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery (521 S Southwood Road, Springfield, MO)
