Gerald "Jerry" Richard Tirres, 83, of Springfield, MO Passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023. He was born on Tuesday, January 30. 1940 in San Bernardino, CA to Richard and Jackie Tirres.

Jerry worked as a cab driver for 30 years before he retired. He enjoyed gardening, building models, going to Silver Dollar City, listening to music, taking his dog Coco for a walk, visiting with neighbors and most of all, spending time with his friends and family.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Pat Tirres, his parents, his step-mom Edith Tirres, one brother Jim Tirres, one infant child baby Tirres and one grandchild baby Fanatia.

He is survived by his dog Coco, four children Bill Tirres, Ruth Cantrell (husband Keith), Jake Tirres (wife Donna) and Terry Waits (husband Doyle "Dale"), 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two great- great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

A visitation will be held from 12-1 PM on Monday, March 13, 2023 at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel. 5234 W. State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO 65802 with funeral services to follow at 1 PM. Memorial donations may be made in his name to Rescue One, 1927-B E. Bennett St., Springfield, MO 65804.
