Jerry L. Hall, 73 of Springfield, was born on May 17, 1942 to Edna (Edwards) and Charles Hall. He passed away on August 23, 2015.
He was an avid baseball, basketball and NASCAR fan. He loved to golf and go fishing with his best friend and nephew, Dan Chapman and friend, Oscar Cunningham. He won a 2 year scholarship to SMSU for basketball and held the record in most points in a game until 2013. His favorite thing was going to the batting cages with his son. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a talented artist.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Bud and Edwin Paige Hall and son, Steven Douglas Young.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Hall; 4 children: Michele (Jerry) Wickens, Chuck Young, Karen (Randy) Smith and Tobin T. (Aimee Pearson) Hall; grandchildren, Colden, Patrick, Renea, Piper, Stephanie, Micheal and Karolyn; 16 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 6 till 8 p.m. at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division). Service will be on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Seminole Baptist Temple, 4221 S National Ave, Springfield, MO with Pastor Don Bair and Pastor Mel Brown officiating. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
