Wilma Jean Butler, age 86, of Springfield passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022. She was born June 16, 1935 in Rogersville to Clarence and Audra (Bruton) Oatman.  She married John Butler and they were married until his passing in 1987.

Jean was a hard worker and had a residential cleaning business for many years. She was an avid reader of romance novels. Jean was a strong Christian and attended Berean Baptist Church for many years. She read her Bible every day and loved unconditionally. Jean had a sweet and kind personality and was always there for her family.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents; a son John Butler; two sisters Barbara Pigg, and Betty Glenn; and two brothers Richard Oatman and Ron Oatman.

Survivors include a son Steve Butler; and two grandchildren Ryan Butler and Dawn Tuttle.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2022 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, Springfield. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield.
