Jayme Kay Witherspoon passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, just a few days shy of her 82nd birthday celebration.
She was preceded in by her father and mother, James and Beulah Beller and her husband, Loren Witherspoon.
Kay is survived by her daughter Lisa and husband Charley Slavens; grandchildren Jenny and Jeff Hill, Layla and Dana Harding, Tommy and Erin Hawkins and Chelsea and Kyle Henry; great-grandchildren Hannah Harding, Brady and TJ Hill, and Harper Henry; sister Karen and husband Jerry Fielder; brother Jim and wife Tina Beller; and nieces and nephews.
The class and grace she possessed in life is carried on through her daughter and grandchildren. She will be missed. However, Jayme Kay Witherspoon was a lady, and a lady always knows when it is time to leave.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 5:30pm. to 6:30 pm at Klingner-Cope at Midtown, 1635 N. Benton, Springfield, MO. There will be a private family graveside service on Friday, October 2, 2015.
The family would like to thank the staff of Springfield Rehabilitation Center in Springfield, MO for their unsurpassed care and support of Kay during her final days.
