Janice Cummings Vaughn, 76, of Beaumont, Texas, died Sunday, June 5, 2016, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on October 3, 1939, to Elsie Strange Cummings and Allen Laux Cummings, in Butler, Missouri. Janice was an office manager for several years for her husband, Gary E. Vaughn, M.D.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Gary Vaughn, of Beaumont; daughter, Kelly Vaughn Niles and her husband, Tony, of Houston, Texas; son, Matt Edward Vaughn and his wife, Samantha, of Springfield, Missouri; and grandchildren, Reagan Niles, Rory Niles, Rusten Niles, Wyatt Vaughn, and Madilyn Vaughn.
Janice is preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Allen "Butch" Cummings.
Her funeral service was Thursday, June 9, 21016, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Beaumont. A private family committal was held at Broussard's Crematorium under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
Due to unusually difficult arrangements, a formal service in Missouri was delayed. Her memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m, Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens, 4500 S. Lone Pine Avenue, Springfield, Missouri. A reception will immediately follow at the cemetery facility.
