Mrs. Janice Sue Penn, age 75 of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, MO.

Janice was born on Friday, September 30, 1949 in Springfield, Missouri, but was raised in Strafford, Missouri where she grew up with her three siblings, Junior Snow, Jerry Evans and Barbara Shepherd. She has lived in Springfield most of her life.

Janice worked at Zenith for many years and then to work at Auntie Anne's as a manger until retirement. She was an amazing wife, Mom and grandmother. She devoted her life to her family and she would give the shirt of her back just to make sure you are taken care of.

Janice enjoyed bird watching, sewing, camping, watching her favorite game shows and cooking shows, but most of all, she loved watching her family grow. Her smile and laugh would just fill the room with joy and happiness.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Penn; five children, Sheila Smith, Dana Carr, Angie Penn, Ronnie Penn Jr. and Johnathan Penn; six grandchildren, Randy Moore, Joseph Marler, Tosha Bennett, Anthony Moore, Kendrea Allen and Jimmy Carr Jr. and thirty-six great-grandkids.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends that knew her.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 29, 2025 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5234 W. State Hwy EE. Springfield, MO 65802.
