Janice Lane, age 71, passed away at Mercy Hospital on December 7, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born in Hayes County, Nebraska to the late Merle and Ardith Ford. The family moved to Denver, Colorado when she was five years old where she lived until moving to Springfield in 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lane; her parents and younger brother, Douglas Ford.
Janice leaves behind her son, Jeff of California, Eric and Ben of Missouri and their wives; 3 grandchildren; brother, Larry Ford (Wendy) of Ozark; sister, Eloise Blake (Jim) of Oil City, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Wanda Martin (Rod) of Crescent, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt and uncle.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 10, 2012 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. with the funeral service starting at 1:00 p.m. in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield. Burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
