Janet Marie Royster, 74, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories, unwavering love, and a legacy of kindness that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Janet found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a creative spirit and loved crafting, always finding ways to make something beautiful with her hands. The holidays were especially dear to her, as they brought together the people she loved most. Whether decorating, preparing for family gatherings, or creating lasting traditions, she made every celebration feel special.

She enjoyed challenging herself with crossword puzzles, proudly cheered on her beloved Kansas City Chiefs, and never let a day go by without her fingernails perfectly painted—a signature touch that reflected her vibrant personality. Janet also loved traveling and looked forward to every opportunity to explore new places and make new memories.

One of her greatest joys was attending car shows, where she and her husband shared countless adventures together. Above all else, however, Janet’s greatest love was her husband. Their bond was built on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion, creating a beautiful partnership that remained the center of her life.

Janet treasured her family and friends beyond measure. She had a kind heart, a warm smile, and a generous spirit that made everyone feel welcome. Her love, strength, and compassion touched countless lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort in the memories she leaves behind and the love she so freely shared. Her spirit will continue to live on through the traditions she created, the lives she touched, and the family and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

She is survived by her husband, Wendell Royster; children, Brian and Leteshia Royster; siblings, Kathy and Richard Wilkinson, Terrie and David Weidmann.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Virginia Fast and John Rude.
