Jane Owen Klingner

Jane Owen Klingner, daughter of Ralph and Edna Murray Owen, was born in Springfield Missouri on January 28, 1934 and passed away on March 5, 2021 at the age of 87.  Jane was the youngest of six children.

Jane married her high school sweetheart John Bennett Klingner Jr. on Valentine's Day at Campbell Methodist Church in 1953. They were blessed with three daughters, Julie Creach, Janell Royal and Jennifer Hill-Prugger.  The family spent many summer vacations at Table Rock Lake.  Jane and John enjoyed their friendships at Campbell United Methodist Church, Greene Hills Golf Course and the Elk's Lodge # 409.

Jane's activities included Girl Scouts Leadership, L'Arts group, Investment Club and many church activities.  Her professional career included Exhibits Director at the Ozark Empire Fair, the Springfield Dental Society and the Arthritis Foundation.

Jane was proceeded  in death by her husband John Klingner Jr. in 2013, her parents, Ralph and Edna Owen, siblings and their spouses; Cornelia and Gerald Moore, Gene and Louise Owen, Kakie and Lee Montgomery, Melvin and Sylvia Owen, Jack and Carolyn Owen, son-in-law Micky Hill and grandson Joseph Royal.

Jane is survived by her three daughters and their families; Julie and David Creach; Brent and Kim Creach- children Kinsley, Cameron and Parker; Tyler and Krystal Creach- children Emily and Abby; Molly and Jared Terry- children Jordan, Hannah, Kaden and Bailey.  Janell and Greg Royal; Brandon and Sarah Royal- children Olivia and Natalie;  Jennifer and Robert Yanders- children Isaiah and Ella; Jennifer and Charlie Prugger; Dylan and Felecia Hill- children Marley and McKenna; Chelsea and Lindsey Weaver- a daughter Timber; Andrea and Sergio Velazquez; Cody and Sharon Prugger; Kyle Prugger.

Visitation will be held at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte (4500 S. Lone Pine Springfield, MO) on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 5:00 -7:00 pm.

Graveside service will be at Hazelwood Cemetery (1642 E. Seminole Springfield, MO) on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Jane's memory to the Children's Dental Care Van through the Elks Lodge 409 (2223 E. Bennett Street Springfield, MO 65804).
