James (Jim) Hutchinson, 71, passed away Monday, September 28, 2020  at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO, where he had been in ICU since August 22, following a car accident.

He was born to Everett and Gertrude Hutchinson on April 29, 1949 in Mountain Grove, MO, attending school there; later moving to Springfield and attending school at Pershing and Glendale.  He is survived by his children, James and Jeffery Hutchinson, David Hodson, April Shover and his grandchildren that he loved very much; his sisters: Carol Scott, Connie Bell and sister-in-law, Lana Hutchinson; also, Jim was loved by his nephews and nieces and he looked forward to their visits. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Janice, and his brother Bill.

Jim was in the trucking business for many years, both driving as well as a broker. He made many friendships that have lasted through the years. He always looked forward to reminiscing with all his friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Klingner-Cope White Chapel on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.  Due to COVID, masks and social distancing are requested.
