James D. Harper, 69, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2019.
True and loving spouse of Debi (Kiser) Harper for 27 years. Father to Christy Harper and Doug Harper, and great friend to everyone he met.

He finished his working career in the fire prevention industry, but as a young man traveled to New Zealand, worked as a Lumberjack and a fisherman on a crab boat. Jim 's competitive nature made him a natural sports enthusiast with a passion for hand ball. He enjoyed the outdoors, cooking and the company of family and friends

Proceeded in death by his parents, Dexter and Helen Harper and his son Doug Harper.
A Celebration of Life for Jim will be held on October 12, 2019 between 12-2:30 at the Metropolitan Grill in Springfield Missouri.
As a 22- year Cancer Survivor,  a donation to the American Cancer Society would be a great honor to Jim!
