IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Mark
Franke
January 18, 1961 – October 17, 2022
A truly gentle soul was called to his heavenly home to reside amongst the angels. James "Jimmy" Mark Franke, 61, of Springfield, MO departed this earth Monday, October 17th, 2022. He was born om Wednesday, January 18, 1961 in Springfield, MO to Joseph A. and Twyla N. Franke.
Jimmy was a generous big hearted man who was a loyal friend, loving son, husband, father, papa, uncle, and brother and completely devoted to his family. He always felt his wife, children and grandchildren were the greatest blessings in his life. Being Papa to his grandchildren was his greatest joy. He was the one that would be there for anyone who needed his help or encouragement, always, with a joke and smile on his face. He was the one who prayed to Jesus to help him remain the kind man, who forgave easily, and gave his all to those who needed him. He was our "rock" in this life who never accepted the credit or accolades. He was the quiet strength some might overlook. Heaven gained a wonderful soul, and although those of us left here on earth are feeling the sadness and loss, we can celebrate his union with God and know we all have a special angel watching over us now.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother, Twyla Nadene Franke, of Billings MO; his wife of 38 years, Vicki Franke, of the home; a son Devin Franke, of Springfield; a daughter and her husband, Nikki and Jordan Wester, of Springfield; two grandchildren Kane and Nova Wester; three surrogate children Lacy Bates, Bryan Bishop and Mike Bishop, along with countless others; a sister and her husband Cindy and Neil Bishop, of Billings MO; a brother Joseph S. Franke, of Brighton MO; and his loyal companion dog, Jenny.
A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Cassidy United Methodist Church, 5151 N. Fremont Rd., Nixa, MO 65714. The memorial will be given by Pastors Steven Mitchell and Suzanne Epperly. Donations in Jimmy's memory can be made to Cassidy United Methodist Church.
