James Lester Drake Sr.
James Lester Drake Sr., 72, passed away at Mercy Hospital surrounded by family on May 22, 2012. He was born August 15, 1939 to John and Bessie (Taylor) Drake.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years Della, parents and one son, James Jr.
Surviving are children, Johnny L. Drake, Carmen Plumb and Janet Barker all of Springfield; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 6-8 pm in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE., Springfield, Mo. Graveside services will be Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 1 PM in Brighton Cemetery.
