James Phillip Cline aka "Bud" died peacefully at his daughter''s home on Sept. 18th in Billings MO at the age of 80.
James is survived by wife, Brenda; daughters and son-in-laws, Darlene and Ken Eck of Billings, Peggy and Carl Farni of Elk City, Ok; siblings, Ann Thomas, William Cline and Dan Cline; grandchildren, Austin Eck, Anthony, Jacob and Kaitlin Farni, Brittney Cline and a great granddaughter, Savannah Morton and her father Austin Morton. He is preceded in death by his parents; James and Catherine Cline(Starr), daughter; Laurie Cline, siblings Natalie Walker, Catherine Cohen.
James was born on Oct. 28, 1934 in St. Joseph, MO. He joined the Navy at the age of 22 and was honorably discharged after 4 years with another 4 years in the reserves. He married Brenda, in 1956 and over 4 years, the couple welcomed 3 daughters into their home. His children remember him as a loving father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
After moving to Springfield, Bud began working for Colonial Bakery where he was known as "Spider" and retired from the bakery after 38 years of service.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015 from 6 till 8 pm in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division). Service will be Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Brian Cole will officiate the ceremony. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
