James D. Breland, 79, was born on March 3, 1935 in Lucedale, Mississippi to O.C. and Laura Mae Breland. He passed away on May 2, 2014.
He was a musician in High School and College, served in the U.S. Army and he was a retired insurance adjuster of 41 years. He enjoyed his morning walks with friends and taking care of his dog Tootsie
Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carolyn; 4 children, Randy, Cathy, David and Paul; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters; 2 brothers and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte Chapel, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens in the mausoleum.
