John (Jack) Ackley passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born in Dodge City, KS on April 8, 1939 to Warren and Margaret (McNerney) Ackley, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by a sister and a brother.

John is survived by his wife Bonnie, children: DeDe Kelley, Marla Ernest, Lawrence Kelley, Stephanie Shoemaker and Misti McCleary; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother Kenneth Ackley and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held Wednesday April 6, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Klingner-Cope at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE, Springfield. The service will be on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the same location with burial to follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

Family has requested in lieu of flowers, house plants or donation be made in John''s name to the Salvation Army Church, 1707 W. Chestnut Expressway 65807.
