There he began a long and impressive career behind the scenes at the Houston Grand Opera and also working on many of the biggest concerts coming through the city via the IATSE Local # 51; where he also made some of his closest friends and was able to work side by side with his older brother Zoltan. He truly loved this job so much as he had such a passion for music; he himself was a talented guitar player who enjoyed listen to music, going to concerts with his daughter, and had wide tastes from classical, to rock & roll and even caught the country music bug a bit from living in Texas.   One of Istvan's biggest joys and fondest memories was spending summers with his daughter in Texas; making frequent trips to Galveston beach and introducing each other to the live music they each loved.

Istvan is preceded in death by his parents, Margit and János.

A wonderful father, brother, son, uncle, great uncle  and friend who will be remembered always for his sense of humor, charm,  deep love of his family and passion for living life to its fullest.   Istvan leaves behind his daughter Vivian, older brothers Zoltan, Janos and Pal and his younger sister Margit
