Irmgard Robbins, 87, of Springfield, MO passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. She was born in Hindenburg, Germany on January 6, 1926.

She was sponsored by an army couple Herb and Sylvia Merrick of Forsyth, MO where she gained citizenship. On December 29, 1962 she was married to Charles Robbins. She enjoyed knitting and being a member of the chapel Sunday school class at First Baptist Church, where she was also involved in a ladies bowling league.

Irmgard was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother Guenter Schmidt and 2 sister-in-laws Litzi Schmidt and Christine Robbins.

She is survived by her son David and his wife Pamela of Springfield; grandson Peyton; granddaughter Chanler; niece Joy Dothage of Brighton, Mo and family in Germany.

Memorial donations may be made in honor of Irmgard to the First Baptist Church 525 South Ave Springfield, MO 65806.

A visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte Chapel 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave Springfield, MO with services to follow at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Overton of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial to be at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
