Ida Karen Rader Fair, 79, of Springfield, was born Sept 30, 1934,
in Rader, Missouri to Arthur and Freda Rader and went to be with the
Lord at James River Rehab on March 8, 2014. She was baptized on Dec. 9,
1934 and confirmed on June 13, 1948 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rader.
She was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Springfield for almost
60 years. She shared her cooking talents serving a lot of dinners there. Anyone who
knew Ida Karen was aware of her enormous faith in God and love for those around her.
You couldn''t be in her presence without knowing you were surrounded by love.
Ida Karen married the "Love of her life" Bill Dale Fair on May 23, 1952. They were
married almost 62 years. Daddy loved his "Sugar" as he always called her. They farmed,
gardened and traveled together. Ida Karen was met at Heaven''s gates by her parents,
sister Ellen Nadine Rader, brother Lee Rader, and a very special great grandbaby
Kamry Ann Thompson and some very special Aunts and loved ones.
Ida Karen is survived by her husband, son Ronnie Fair (Jacque), three daughters Pam
Aleshire (John), Tammy Auman (Dick), and Vicki Thompson (Billy); ten grandchildren,
Michael and Travis Aleshire, Ashley Mahan, Jordan Carroll, Maggie Lumley, Jeremy Shultz,
Brandi Cole, Corey, Jeffrey, and Jordan Thompson; Eight great grand children, Haley and
Hayden Aleshire, Ashlynn and Annabelle Mahan, Brailyn Odaffer Thompson, Brinlee and Bodie Carroll, Parker Lumley and 2 more on the way, Taylor and Aldean; and a sister Corene Taylor. She is also survived by countless family and friends.
Ida Karen was a devoted wife and a precious loving mother and grandmother. She will be
greatly missed by those who were privileged to know her and share her amazing love for God.
Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1415 S Holland, Springfield on Saturday,
March 15, at 11AM with Visitation prior to the service at 10AM in the Church. Burial will
be in the Rader Cemetery.
