Howard Lee Duncan, 86, of Springfield, MO passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023. He was born on Thursday, May 20, 1937 in Greene County, MO to Edith Looney and Walter Duncan.

Howard worked as a Truck Driver and was a member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church in Willard, MO. He married Jean Williams on September 8, 1957 and to this union four daughters were born. They enjoyed 49 years together until her passing in 2006. Howard loved gardening, antique cars, driving the church bus and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one sister Donna Fritz and two great-grandchildren.

Howard is survived by his four daughters Beverly Heidrich of Collinsville, IL, Nanette Stafford (husband Mike) of Springfield, MO, Melinda Johnson (husband Danny) of Hollister, MO and Cynthia Strom (husband Kenny) of Republic, MO, one brother Charles Duncan, one sister Patricia Beckman, 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Friday, August 25, 2023 at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO 65802 with services officiated by Pastor Jake Braschler to follow at 11 AM.
