Helen Jeanette Nuckols Short was born in Laurel, Mississippi on June 15, 1965 to James and Kaki Nuckols. She died at home on April 23, 2020. Her father, Jim Nuckols and her step father Kenny Payne preceded her in death.

She is survived by her mother Kaki Payne, her husband, Rock Short, 2 sons D.J. Short (Sarah), Rod Short (Hope), 1 daughter, Kayla DeWitt (James), step brother, Jeff Payne (Shari). Also she has 7 wonderful grandchildren, Kayleigh, Taylor, Mattilee, Landon, Allison, Hunter, Harley and special friends Rachel, Avalynn, Mattia, Rowan and Farrah.

Jeanette loved working for CBCO as a distribution driver and enjoyed many friendships with the people she met through work. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Klingner Cope at White Chapel Family Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at klingnerfuneralhomes.com
