Helen L. Scott 97, of Springfield, MO passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. She was born on January 12, 1920.
Helen was a member of South Side Baptist church, and was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. She received recognition for her poetry, enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and her sweet dogs Sophie and Gypsy.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Scott; son, Winston Wade; grandchildren, David Wade and Jeffrey Allen; sister, Florene; and a brother Marvin.
Surviving are her sons, Weldon, William (Karen), and Wendell; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 6pm-8pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte (4500 S. Lone Pine Springfield, MO). Services will be Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11am at the funeral home. A burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
