Hazel Juanita Patton Yenicheck, born to June and Linea Patton in Nixa, MO on May 19, 1925, went to be with our Lord at 3:25 A.M. on September 2, 2014. She was married for 71 ½ years to her surviving husband, Junior Raymond, (Jr.) of Springfield. She is also survived by her son, Melvin Ray of Springfield, daughter Carolyn Sue Thomas (husband Rocky) of Palm Desert, CA and her grandson Bryan Edward Cole (wife Aurelia) of McKinney, TX. She also has several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Hazel was employed as a Interior Decorator for 12 years at Sears until she left to become owner and operator of Silverleaf Custom Draperies. She was an accomplished seamstress with many customers. In addition to sewing she was proficient in electronic knitting, crocheting and embroidery. Hazel was also a gifted artist always happy to share her paintings. She was a member of Seminole Baptist Temple for many years. She will be missed terribly by family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 4, 2014, at 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte Chapel, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Seminole Baptist Temple, 4221 S. National Ave, Springfield MO. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery.
