Harvey Johnson, 86 of Springfield passed away on January 16, 2014. He was the last of the six children of Henry and Ina Johnson. Harvey graduated in 1947 from the Missouri School of the Deaf in Fulton. He worked for 38 years at the Assemblies of God Gospel Publishing House.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Walter and William, three sisters Edna, Elsie and Amie, a son Kelvin and his wife, Chancy Sloan and second wife, Barbara Hamby. He is survived by his son, Melvin (Brenda) Johnson, grandchildren, Lindsey and Chance and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday January 21, 2014 from 6 to 8 in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home Rivermonte Chapel, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in the Rivermonte Chapel at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.

Family has requested donations be made in Harvey''s name to a charity of your choice.
