Mr. Harold Dean Scroggins, age 84, of Nixa, Missouri passed away on June 21, 2026. 

Harold was born July 7, 1941 in Springfield, Missouri. He attended Bois D’arc Elementary School in Missouri and High School at Ash Grove, Missouri. Harold met Gearldean (Jerri) Richter in high school. Following high school, they married and built a life together over the next 64 years. He created a successful career in airline operations for 34 years working as a station agent and eventually becoming the lead for Ozark Airlines (eventually American Airlines) at Springfield Regional Airport. He took immense pride in working in the airline industry. His career presented numerous exciting travel opportunities for his family. Through their travels they encountered many interesting people and formed lasting friendships.

Harold remained active after retirement and continued to discover life’s adventures. Harold and Jerri partnered with a vendor selling Bread Bags at craft shows. They travelled the country in a small motor home and journeyed through different parts of the US from Washington DC, Nebraska, South Texas and various places in between.

Harold lived a fulfilling and meaningful life. He was enthusiastic about spending time with family, gardening, and playing golf. He enjoyed completing home projects and assisting others in completing their projects. He and Jerri continued their travels in the motor home, often stopping in Branson, Missouri, a favorite spot of theirs.

Harold is fondly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Gearldean Scroggins, his son Devin Scroggins (Cindy) of Springdale, AR, grandchildren Lacey Scroggins (Brice Marchant) of Springdale, AR, Kayla Dassero (Brock) of Fayetteville, AR, and Kelsey Scroggins of Springdale, AR and great grandchild Kenton Marchant.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
