Harlan Derald Lucht, 81, was born on January 8, 1932 and passed away on February 18, 2013 at the Marshfield Healthcare Center with his wife and children at his side.
He married Mary Darlene Smith on September 9, 1950 and to this union seven children were born. He was a truck driver for most of his life, until he retired in 2003. He made many friends and was know by his CB handle of "Shoestring" across the entire USA.
Harlan is survived by his wife of a blessed 62 years, Mary Darlene Lucht; sons, James Lucht of Strafford, MO, Derald Lucht and his wife Amy of Elkland, MO, Dwayne Lucht of Omaha, NE and Timothy Lucht and his wife Ginger of Springfield, MO; daughters, Sandra Gregory and her husband Don of Lebanon, MO, Cheryl Wilch and her hysband Dennis of Schuyler, NE and Shelli Brabec and her husband Wayne of Shelby, NE; brother, Willis Lucht; sisters, Nina, Shirley, Melody, Angel and Trixie all of NEBR; 26 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 6:00 till 8:00 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO. Services will be on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
