Grace "Carolyn" Underwood Keller passed away suddenly on her 72nd birthday, May 16, 2015. Carolyn was born to Frederick Ball Underwood and Flora Joye Copeland Underwood in the old farmhouse in Fair Play, Missouri.
Carolyn was united in marriage to Eddie Oran Keller on May 21, 1966. She worked at Lily Tulip for five years before going to work for the Springfield Public Schools in the cafeteria. She retired in 2001 after 23 years of service.
Carolyn was an avid fan of the Lady Bears basketball team and went on many bus trips with the team. Some of her closest friends were made, while on these trips. She loved her flowers and whirligigs and spending time piddling at her childhood home in Fair Play. She also enjoyed being at the lake and spending time with family. She loved to cook and bake. Her apple pies and peanut clusters were two of her many specialties. One of her favorite things was ice cream. Sometimes she treated herself twice a day!
Carolyn is survived by her husband Eddie; two children, David and wife Leandra, Nixa, MO and Rebecca and husband Bruce, Springfield; four granddaughters, Hannah, Holly, Abbie and Alexis; sister, Katherine Underwood, Independence, MO; brother, Clifford Underwood, St. Louis, MO; brother, Junior Underwood, Deer Park, Texas; Also surviving, brother in law and sister in law, Rick and Shirley Keller, Rogersville; and many nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Paul Underwood and brother, Norman Underwood.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 10:00 am in Old Galloway Cemetery, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO under the direction of Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte.
