Gordon Fredrick "Fred" Lines, 69, of Springfield, Mo, passed away on December 8, 2018.

He was born to parents Gordon and Mary Frances Lines, on September 25, 1949; in Springfield, MO. Fred graduated from Glendale High School in 1967.  Fred served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Kitty Hawk where he was a Navy Frogman.

Fred is survived by wife Carol, sons' Jeremy and wife Melissa Kellogg of Ohio, Casey and partner Megan Gaulke of Minnesota, and sister Mary Alice Blackburn.  His Father and Mother predeceased Fred.

Fred was known for his love of gardening, golf, fishing, and deer hunting.  He passed on his love of sports and hunting to his sons.  Fred coached his sons' soccer teams as they were growing up.  He had great joy for SCUBA diving and traveling with friends and family.  Many of Fred's days were spent hunting and golfing with his closest family and dearest friends.  Favorite family trips included fishing on Table Rock Lake, SCUBA diving, golfing in Mississippi and visiting his sons and their families.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Klinger-Cope Funeral Home at White Chapel.  In lieu of sending flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Fred's name to the Humane Society of Springfield, Mo.
